ISO 20022 Messages

The admi business area covers ISO 20022 Administration messages. These messages sit around operational and service-level communication rather than carrying the core customer payment instruction itself.

Think of pain, pacs and camt as messages that often carry or report the financial business journey. admi helps the messaging ecosystem communicate about administrative conditions, technical acceptance or rejection, system events, acknowledgements, resend requests, static data and other service-level interactions where the applicable ISO 20022 message set uses them.

Core learning question: What is the system or service trying to tell another participant about the communication itself, rather than about the underlying payment transaction?

This list is a learning snapshot, not a claim that every service uses every admi message. The applicable message set, market infrastructure, network, scheme and bilateral service contract determine what is actually exchanged.
