camt.055.001.13 CustomerPaymentCancellationRequestV13
ISO 20022 camt Messages
Request cancellation of a payment-initiation instruction previously sent by the initiating party.
Cancellation branch: Cedar Books requests cancellation of one EUR 2000 customer payment.
This is an original educational guide to the exact supplied ISO message version. It does not establish SEPA, CBPR+, a bank-specific profile or other scheme compliance.
XSD validity verifies the XML grammar and datatype restrictions. Business rules, external-code membership, party authority, message history and operational acceptance require separate checks.
The earlier instruction can be a customer credit-transfer initiation, direct-debit initiation or payment-activation request; this is not limited to one product.
Repeated underlying blocks and group/payment/transaction structures are permitted in this version. The source’s “one original instruction” wording must not be simplified to “one transaction per XML”.
A message-level case spanning multiple transactions cannot simply be forwarded as one transaction case after the payments have been distributed downstream.
A request does not guarantee cancellation. Processing stage, irrevocability, available authority and the applicable service govern the outcome.
